Representatives from BCM today travel to London to celebrate success as a regional finalist and hope for an overall win in this year's Constructing Excellence Awards 2016.

In July, BCM were winners in the North West Regional Construction Awards, for the third year running. The national final brings the top regional winners, recognising exceptional companies that have demonstrated strength, passion and commitment to the construction industry in a collaborative and sustainable manner.

Brian Morris, managing director of BCM said, "The Constructing Excellence Awards are open to the whole built environment sector making them one of the most competitive awards around. We are very proud to be recognised as leaders in the NW region for our work with BIM and Life Cycle Costings. An overall win would be an outstanding achievement."

BCM are finalists in the Innovation award for our Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) focusing on Life Cycle Costing in Construction.

The project, led by Dr Haniyeh Mohammadpourkarbasi identifies the most cost effective methods of carbon and energy reductions using detailed BIM and DSM models. Haniyeh said, "The project continually improves our ability to provide clients with objective building performance data, identifying where additional value can be delivered in our designs and provide a commercial basis for lowering carbon in the built environment."

After a hat trick of regional wins, we are hopeful for a national win, continuing BCM's reputation as a forward thinking, integral part of the construction industry, leading the way with excellent service delivery and a strong commitment to collaborative and innovative working.

The Constructing Excellence Awards final takes place in London on Friday, November 4, 2016.
