We are delighted to announce that we have been highly commended in the Innovation category at this year’s National Constructing Excellence Awards.

The awards are a recognition of the very best companies, collaborations and projects, sharing best practice and delivering exceptional results.

The award was given for our work with Life Cycle Costing, and has secured our place as one of the top two construction innovators in the UK.

Life Cycle costing is recognised as one of four priorities in latest construction strategy, and during a recent project we made a £1 million saving in life cycle costs whilst reducing tenant bills by 94% and carbon emissions by 78%. By modelling the full impacts of carbon taxes alongside early building modelling, we are consistently able to help our clients select the most cost effective options.

BCM’s Managing Director, Brian Morris, said: “2016 has been an excellent year for us in terms of recognition. We are extremely proud to have been highly commended at such a prestigious ceremony, it is real testament to our consistently excellent approach and dedication to innovation through whole life cycle costing.”

“Life cycle costing allows us to set targets to add the maximum value for all phases of a project’s life cycle, from funding and design through to handover and operation. Using this unique approach provides a wide range of customer, funder, contractor and operator benefits.”

The ceremony took place on 4th November at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London.
