We were delighted that our collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University was recently nominated in the ‘Educate North’ awards co- organised by The Telegraph.

The University was recognised for its two-year collaboration with BCM at a ceremony where more than 250 academics, students, executives and business people from across the North and the UK filled The Hilton Hotel in Manchester at a unique event that celebrated the continued growth and success of the knowledge sector in the region.

BCM worked with academics at the University, exploring the life cycle costing of building services and the process of identifying and documenting all the costs involved over the life of an asset enabling buildings to be built and managed in a more cost effective and sustainable manner.

The partnership was extremely successful and has led to new and unique initiatives in building design.

Brian Morris, managing director of BCM said: "This partnership was a substantial part of our strategic expansion plans and has enabled us to develop our skills and bring new cost saving services to the market.

“We have also identified specific processes and operating practices that will keep us at the forefront of our industry.

“We’d like to thank Liverpool John Moores for their support and guidance and continued influence.”
